Entrepreneurs working in an academic field that has a potentially huge impact to solve an environmental problem: Make the water cleaner, reduce carbon emissions, reduce toxic waste, save energy, etc

Environmental science and sustainability innovators

Inventors with early data

Academic environmental/sustainability researchers (venture or pre-venture)

Curious innovators trying to create a company to bring your technology to users so it actually will benefit the environment as a commercial product

Is there an Application Fee?

No, the Clean Green Challenge is free to apply to and attend.

Do I have to be a registered company to apply?

No, the Clean Green Challenge is focusing on very early stage start ups or teams with an idea and a plan for entering the market in the coming future.

What about funding?

We are focusing on early stage start ups with funding under $500,000 in dilutive funds. 

When do I have to submit my application?

Applications closed March 27th at midnight.

Is there any virtual pitching options?

We will not be accepting any virtual pitches. We need at least two, maximum five, members of your team to be present for the whole for lectures, group work, and pitching.

We are based outside the U.S. Can we still apply?

Yes! As long as at least two people from your team is available to be here in person on April 20th, we are accepting non-local applicants. We will not be able to cover any travel expenses.

Event Day Agenda and Requirements

This event will be on April 20th, 2023 and has a day long time requirement for all finalists (8am - 8pm).

Each team must have two members present on the day of. Each team must bring a laptop and charger for the group work portion of the day.

        From 8am - 12pm, finalists will enjoy lectures from industry experts.

        From 12pm - 1pm, finalists will be treated to lunch as they enter into the next 
        stage.

        From 1pm - 4pm, finalists will participate in group work to come up with a
        winning pitch deck. Coaches from various fields will be there to help finalists
        perfect their pitch.

        From 4pm - 8pm participants will be able to enjoy the event, the food, the
        people and then pitch their final product to a team of judges.

This is a great opportunity for the lucky few finalists who are chosen to connect and gain knowledge from industry experts!
